11/18/2023 0 Comments Aer bag redditIf I return it, I not only loose money (shipping+2ximport taxes/fees) but also prospective other option I could look forward to. I was so excited about it and have been waiting for over a year until I finally got it. a place to discuss bags and backpacks This was certainly the case back then but there's only so much a few tens of active users can talk about their collection and their findings. Now I'm torn: Based on reviews and recommendations, the City Sling felt to me like the last word in slings. I've been in this subreddit since near the start. I’m generally used to carrying around a much bigger bag for long term travel so it feels quite liberating to have such a compact bag on my back. Despite being a bit boxy, it still feels like it fits nicely on your back. Most airlines will let you use this bag as a carry on, which over your travels will save you a ton of time and money. The biggest reason is that a 40 litre bag means carry on compliance. They are nice enough to make an exception for me but I still had to pay for import taxes and I'd still have to pay for shipment and potentially import taxes into the US again. The AER Travel Pack 3 at 35L offers great storage without feeling too bulky. The Osprey Farpoint 40’s compact size means you can bring it as a carry on. To make things worse, Aer does normally not do international returns (even from Canada). But these things I have in my pocket, I wanted to use the sling for a variety of small "essentials" such as small USB-C charger/cable (laptops/phones), power bank, hand santizer, tissues, in-ear headphones, Ibuprufen etc and carry it at a low profile. Maybe I've the wrong impression but it seems the City Sling was just made to throw in phone, wallet, keys. My current cheap fake "The NorthFace sling" from Cambodia feels much smaller on the outside but fits everything equally well (but it has many other issues). They all fit in but the sling feels stuffed, fat and heavy. But that comes at a high cost: This sling is huge! It feels big on the outside and small on the inside. because it is also tough (and the X-PAC version is awesome, but it comes in other materials) and only 6L, as opposed to 10L for the full size. Of course, x-pac has that water resistance which is get for those travels when youre near water. It is louder but personally dont care about that as much. Im not entirely sure about durability on those high wear areas, but man aesthetically speaking, it looks amazing. Going for smaller, you might consider the Insidious Jr. This City 2 model, it uses x-pac all over the bag, even the back and bottom. Bellroy Venture Sling 6L (read here that Custormer Support isnt good) : (. Hyperlite Mountain Gear Versa Ultralight. It's certainly well made and looks pretty indestructible. My favorite EDC sling is the DEFY Insidious in waxed canvas, it is (figuratively) bomb proof and simple inside. Ive looked a few places and narrowed to this: Aer Day Sling 3. But finally, I pulled the trigger on the black Friday sale and got it! It's pretty hard to "try out" this bag because no store has it. The Aer City Sling has amazingly great reviews (e.g., ) and people seem to like it.
